The role in question focuses on delivering outstanding guest service. As a team member, you will be responsible for ensuring guests have an exceptional experience by providing fast, friendly, and attentive service. Your daily responsibilities include taking guest food and drink orders accurately, delivering orders with enthusiasm, and maintaining a clean and enjoyable environment. The position requires operating point-of-sale systems such as Micros, handling cash and credit transactions with high accuracy, and managing personal bank responsibilities. You will work closely with other team members and management to create a warm and fun atmosphere, adhering to company standards and procedures including sanitation and alcohol awareness. The job involves working in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods, and sometimes lifting up to 30 pounds. Ideal candidates are friendly, professional, and able to communicate effectively in English. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not mandatory. This role is suited for individuals 21 years or older who thrive in high-energy environments and wish to be part of a vibrant team committed to guest satisfaction and brand promotion. The hiring salary starts at $2.13 per hour and follows a schedule that can include days, nights, and weekends.

Job Requirements

  • Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • Work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures such as freezers and around cooking equipment
  • Work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • Read and write handwritten notes
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • Walk or stand 100% of shift
  • Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English
  • Must demonstrate ability to operate Micros point-of-sale systems
  • Skilled in effectively communicating with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
  • Restaurant and/or bar experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • Must be friendly and capable of frequent smiling
  • Must adhere to proper dress code requirements and look neat, clean and professional at all times

Job Duties

  • Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action
  • Create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
  • Adhere to company's sanitation procedures
  • Maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change, and maintaining adequate cash and coin for making change
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
  • Assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
  • Follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product, control costs, and maximize guest satisfaction
  • Keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
  • Greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • Accurately take guests' food and drink orders
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
  • Enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
  • Responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and completing station side work at the beginning and end of their shift
  • Demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of each shift
  • Ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated bar areas as well as other sections in the restaurant as needed
  • Work quickly and efficiently adhering to “Full hands in, Full hands out” philosophy
  • Participate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand
  • Complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets as requested and required
  • Complete opening/closing duties in a timely manner
  • Assist in party set up and breakdown
  • Assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
  • Buss and reset tables as needed
  • Ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, pre-bussing as necessary, and responding to guest needs in a timely manner
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate and help keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Listen to hear guests' orders and needs, and then communicate with guests verbally and with other team members verbally via Micros system
  • Be friendly and able to smile frequently
