Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- Basic mathematical, reading and writing skills
- Must have excellent communication skills including asking for clarification
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage stress and maintain composure
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Must be attentive and punctual with a positive attitude
- Must complete Responsible Vendor training program where applicable
- Must report to work as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of alcoholic drink recipes and beverage preparation
- Ability to use POS systems efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Responsible Vendor training completion where applicable
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of Sandbar food and beverage preparation, menu and specials
- Take orders for alcoholic drinks (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages and food items
- Prepare orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages
- Use a computer to ring orders into a POS
- Refill drinks as requested by customers
- Accept different types of payment and make change
- Interact with customers, management and co-workers in a friendly and fast manner
- Check identification of guests to ensure legal age to consume alcohol
- Politely refuse service to underage guests and notify manager
- Observe guest behavior when consuming alcohol and offer a taxi if necessary
- Treat all customers to ensure complete satisfaction and exceed expectations
- Help customers choose menu items and suggestively sell food and beverages
- Keep the bar stocked (beer, wine and liquor) and clean
- Maintain a clean workstation
- Report to work in a neat uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as directed by management
- Attend required meetings
