We are currently looking for a skilled and personable Bartender to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and flow of our food and beverage service. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, taking orders accurately, and ensuring customers’ satisfaction at every stage of their visit. The position requires not only mixology skills but also excellent communication and customer service abilities, along with the capacity to manage POS systems efficiently. The successful candidate will be over 21 years of age to comply with state regulations on alcohol service and should demonstrate a thorough understanding of responsible alcohol service policies. They will maintain a clean and organized bar area, monitor customer behavior to prevent overconsumption, and promote menu items proactively. This role demands a combination of speed, accuracy, and friendly customer interaction, with an emphasis on teamwork and adherence to company policies. The pay rate for this position is $10.98 per hour, plus tips. Job Requirements

Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
Basic mathematical, reading and writing skills
Must have excellent communication skills including asking for clarification
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage stress and maintain composure
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Must be attentive and punctual with a positive attitude
Must complete Responsible Vendor training program where applicable
Must report to work as scheduled

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of alcoholic drink recipes and beverage preparation
Ability to use POS systems efficiently
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Responsible Vendor training completion where applicable

Job Duties

Maintain complete knowledge of Sandbar food and beverage preparation, menu and specials
Take orders for alcoholic drinks (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages and food items
Prepare orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages
Use a computer to ring orders into a POS
Refill drinks as requested by customers
Accept different types of payment and make change
Interact with customers, management and co-workers in a friendly and fast manner
Check identification of guests to ensure legal age to consume alcohol
Politely refuse service to underage guests and notify manager
Observe guest behavior when consuming alcohol and offer a taxi if necessary
Treat all customers to ensure complete satisfaction and exceed expectations
Help customers choose menu items and suggestively sell food and beverages
Keep the bar stocked (beer, wine and liquor) and clean
Maintain a clean workstation
Report to work in a neat uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as directed by management
