Job Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations
- must successfully pass background check
- must successfully pass drug screening
- must be at least twenty-one years of age
- ability to distinguish different denominations of currency and make change
- ability to work flexible shifts including varying schedules and times
- able to operate equipment such as blenders, dishwashers, coffee makers, cash register, and EDI liquor dispensing equipment
- ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- ability to manage and direct bar attendants
- willingness to assist with event setup and teardown
- ability to handle working in noisy, crowded environments
Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited bartending course
- two years’ experience in high volume cocktail service preferably in a hotel or casino environment
- excellent customer service skills
- knowledge of mixing a wide variety of drinks
- ability to operate bar equipment including cash register and beverage dispensing machines
- knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to alcohol service
- strong communication skills
- ability to lead and work effectively with team members
- ability to manage financial transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for gaming entertainment
- provides superior customer service and fosters positive guest relations
- pours drinks according to established recipes and maintains a clean and safe work environment
- ensures compliance with underage serving policies
- monitors proper par levels of supplies at assigned bars
- handles company funds and equipment responsibly
- opens and closes bars following established procedures
- provides work direction for bar attendants
- attends and participates in meetings and performs assigned follow-up
- assists with duties at special events or parties including food preparation tasks
- cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces
- manages security and accuracy of assigned bank
- communicates problems or situations to supervisor
