The role of Bartender/Server at Spare Time Entertainment is a dynamic position that plays a crucial part in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role involves serving patrons in line with the company’s acclaimed Steps of Service, which emphasize attentiveness, knowledge, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in menu items and able to confidently make suggestions to guests to enhance their visit. This position requires skill in mixing, garnishing, and serving both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages following rigorous recipe and pouring guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Additionally, Bartenders/Servers assist in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining environment by preparing tables, bus tables, and supporting food preparation when needed.
Key responsibilities also include managing point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, adhering to all food safety and health regulations, and actively monitoring alcohol consumption by patrons to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and laws. As a part of the role, employees collaborate with team members to control waste and keep service areas organized and restocked. The position demands the ability to complete opening and closing shifts duties effectively, maintain equipment cleanliness, and uphold the company’s standards of hygiene and safety.

Job Duties
- Serve guests utilizing Spare Time Entertainment's Steps of Service
- demonstrate knowledge of all menus, with the ability to make suggestions
- promote knowledge of the location's features and upcoming events
- mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and company guidelines
- observe and assist in preparing unoccupied tables for guests by wiping surface tops and removing debris
- bus tables in the restaurant area and return used dishes to the dishwashing area
- help with food preparation when necessary
- adhere to all food safety and quality regulations
- assist with waste control
- patrol assigned section to respond to guests' needs and address concerns
- review guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption in compliance with policies and laws
- confidently operate the POS system to make accurate transactions
- provide all required complimentary shift paperwork consistently and organized
- complete shift opening and closing duties
- maintain clean equipment and working areas following health department codes
- keep products and areas organized and restocked as needed
- maintain current certifications required by the state and offered by the company
