Job Description
Dog Haus Biergarten is a vibrant and rapidly growing craft casual dining and beverage establishment that offers a unique bar experience. Known for its gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers, and the famed Bad Mutha Clucka fried chicken sandwich, Dog Haus has established itself as a beloved brand across the United States. Founded in Pasadena, California, in 2010 by friends Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz, and Andre Vener, the company prides itself on providing high-quality, hormone- and antibiotic-free meats served on grilled King's Hawaiian rolls, alongside plant-based protein options that meet the needs of a broader audience. Their commitment to sustainability and community involvement is highlighted by their partnership with No Kid Hungry, aiming to tackle childhood hunger nationwide.
Dog Haus Biergarten is more than just a dining spot; it is a full-service bar destination that perfectly balances craft beer, handcrafted Haus cocktails, and a welcoming Biergarten atmosphere. This location is family-owned and operated with strong expansion ambitions in the East Valley, positioning itself as a staple in the local community while contributing to the brand's national growth. The Biergarten offers an engaging environment that encourages genuine connections between bartenders and guests, creating a memorable experience that goes beyond just drinks and food.
The Bartender role at Dog Haus Biergarten is designed for individuals who are passionate about their craft and thrive in high-volume bar settings. This full-time job requires working 4 to 5 shifts per week, with availability primarily during evenings and weekends — the busiest and most dynamic times at the bar. The base pay starts at $12.15 per hour, with tips averaging $20 per hour, making for a rewarding earning potential based on performance and dedication. As a bartender here, you will be trained to expertly handle full liquor service, manage an extensive craft beer selection, and perfect signature Haus cocktails.
Teamwork is a core value at Dog Haus Biergarten; the team culture emphasizes mutual support, reliability, and a shared commitment to creating a welcoming, efficient, and fun environment for both staff and guests. Successful candidates will bring experience with high-volume bar operations and a deep appreciation for hospitality, multitasking, and working with a sense of urgency without compromising guest care. Certified with Title IV and holding a Maricopa County Food Handlers Card or the willingness to obtain one within two weeks of hire is mandatory.
For those who want to be part of #TheAbsoluteWurst team, this position offers an opportunity to grow within a concept that respects craft, values community relationships, and prioritizes employee and guest satisfaction. With over 40 locations nationwide and many more in development, Dog Haus Biergarten offers an exciting environment for bartenders who want to be part of something unique and fast-growing while contributing to a culture that truly values their craft and hospitality skills.
