Job Description

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is a distinguished boutique hospitality company known for its heartfelt commitment to creating meaningful, personal experiences for both guests and employees. Founded by Bill Kimpton in 1981 in San Francisco, the brand revolutionized the hospitality industry by challenging impersonal and generic service models. Kimpton's entrepreneurial spirit and passion for genuine connections continue to inspire a unique culture where diversity, creativity, and self-leadership are highly valued. Every day, employees are empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and contribute uniquely to the collective mission of improving lives — from coworkers and guests to owners and communities. This inclusive environment celebrates individuality and fosters an energetic, quirky, and exceptional workplace atmosphere where people are encouraged to shine and grow.

The Bartender role at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is a dynamic opportunity that goes beyond standard drink preparation and service. It is a chance to be a vital part of the guest experience, acting as an advocate for the bar and restaurant while crafting deeply personal and memorable moments for patrons. Bartenders are expected to deliver professional, courteous, and timely service, making personal connections that encourage guest loyalty. Key responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, accurately pouring and serving drinks, maintaining the cleanliness and stock of the bar area, and effectively collaborating with team members and management. Additionally, the role involves careful handling of transactions through the POS system and adherence to quality and safety standards, including recognition of guests' behavior to ensure a welcoming environment for all.

Kimpton values flexibility, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for hospitality in its bartending team. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of wine and spirits, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the confidence to personalize guest interactions. The position requires a flexible schedule, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the vibrant nature of the hospitality industry. Certified Food Handler and Alcohol Serving credentials are preferred. Working at Kimpton means embracing a culture that honors diversity and inclusivity across various backgrounds and identities, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect.

Joining Kimpton as a Bartender offers a unique chance to be part of a renowned hospitality brand that leads with heart and innovation. Employees are encouraged to wear multiple hats, stepping in where needed to contribute to the success and smooth operation of the venue. This role is well-suited for individuals who are self-motivated, creative, and take pride in delivering exceptional service in a lively and supportive environment. Kimpton’s commitment to employee well-being and professional growth ensures that your contributions are valued and your career nurtured in a setting that feels like home.
