Job Description

The hiring establishment is a dynamic and reputable venue that includes a vibrant bar and restaurant setting, where the emphasis is placed on exceptional customer service and professionalism. This establishment prides itself on providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests, ensuring an outstanding dining and beverage experience. With a commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, the venue operates in a fast-paced environment requiring team-oriented individuals who are dedicated to excellence. It serves a diverse clientele, including casino patrons and restaurant guests, seeking memorable experiences through expertly crafted beverages and attentive service.

The role available is that of a Bartender, reporting directly to the Restaurant Services Supervisor. This position involves preparing and serving cocktails, beverages, and merchandise to customers or preparing these items for the wait staff. The bartender must handle guest transactions accurately, which includes entering orders into the point of sale system, tabulating bills, and processing payments efficiently. A crucial part of this role is verifying customer age to comply with alcohol purchase regulations, ensuring responsible alcohol service at all times.

As a Bartender, the individual will promote positive customer relations by greeting customers warmly and creating an inviting environment. The position demands thorough knowledge of all bar items, liquors, and premium brands, requiring the bartender to recall drink selections by memory and execute orders promptly and courteously. The bartender will routinely inspect menus and specials, prepare drinks according to standardized recipes, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area including glassware and utensils.

Involving inventory management, the bartender will maintain supply levels using par levels and assist in food preparation based on business volumes as directed by supervisors. This role requires diligent adherence to safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards, including ServeSafe and Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) requirements. The bartender must maintain accurate checkouts, balance the house bank at shift start and end, and uphold strict policies around alcohol service, contributing to a safe and enjoyable guest experience.

The physical and work environment considerations for this role include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working under variable temperature and noise conditions both indoors and outdoors. The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential, as is the capacity to maintain composure and efficiency during busy and demanding shifts.

This position is suited to individuals with at least one year of bartending experience, two years in the food and beverage or hospitality industry, and who possess excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. The employer requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, background check, and gaming license acquisition. Overall, this Bartender role offers an exciting opportunity to join a professional team dedicated to superior guest service and hospitality within a vibrant, regulated environment.
