Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of state liquor laws
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions
  • Basic arithmetic skills required
  • Must have proficiency in computer software
  • Able to work primarily during Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with some weekend or holiday shifts
  • Willingness to travel as needed for training and meetings
  • Must abide by company policies and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior bartending experience in hospitality or fast-paced environment preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Micros Station
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Team player able to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic financial literacy and arithmetic skills
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm with ability to input data and access computer information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies
  • Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
  • Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges
  • Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
  • Know and comply with state liquor laws
  • Ensure established pars are maintained
  • Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules
  • Attend to bar and tables, take orders and deliver in a timely manner
  • Bus tables and set in a timely manner
  • Perform opening and closing side work according to standards
  • Prepare beverages and cocktails according to standards for mixing, portion control and presentation
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • Ensure the bar, lounge, lobby and event areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Be familiar with the computer POS system
  • Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest
  • Follow all state liquor laws and assigned training required
  • Follow prescribed procedures for serving liquor with care to avoid intoxicated guest issues and report when necessary
  • Stock and clean glassware
  • Check soda tanks to ensure they are full and secured properly
  • Prepare all garnishes
  • Prepare juices and syrups
  • Change kegs and soda bibs
  • Assist in cleaning tables and all lounge areas
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Deliver food to guests
  • Know food and drink menus to offer suggestions and upsell
  • Quality control all hotel food and beverage items
  • Follow hotel handbook protocols
  • Perform special projects and other assigned responsibilities
