Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior bartending experience preferred
- Ability to work primarily during Springboard Hospitality business hours including some weekends and holidays
- Ability to travel as needed for hotel familiarization and content creation
- Must follow payroll policies and company handbook
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Strong customer service orientation
- Effective communication skills in English
- Energetic and outgoing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and quickly
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
- Proficient computer skills including typing and data entry
- Ability to handle basic financial information
- Must exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred college degree
- Prior bartending experience in hospitality or fast-paced environments
- Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Micros station
- Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Team player with ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced work environment
- Basic financial knowledge and arithmetic skills
- Typing speed of 45 wpm
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls
- Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
- Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in accordance with company policies
- Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
- Know and comply with state liquor laws
- Ensure established pars are maintained
- Perform all side work duties according to schedules
- Attend to bar and tables, take orders and deliver in a timely manner
- Bus tables and set promptly
- Perform opening and closing side work
- Prepare beverages and cocktails with proper mixing, portion control and presentation
- Serve guests warmly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness of bar, lounge, lobby and event areas
- Be familiar with POS computer systems
- Carry out cashiering functions and close checks
- Follow all training and state liquor laws
- Handle serving liquor responsibly and report intoxicated guests to management
- Stock and clean glassware
- Check soda tanks
- Prepare garnishes, juices and syrups
- Change kegs and soda bibs
- Assist in cleaning tables and lounge areas
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Deliver food to guests
- Know food and drink menus to suggest and upsell
- Follow hotel handbook protocols
- Perform special projects as assigned
