Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year bartending experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to follow safety and security procedures
- Willingness to abide by company payroll policies and code of conduct
- Ability to travel as needed for hotel familiarization and content creation
- Flexibility to work during business hours including some weekends and holidays
- Completion of ServSafe and ABC online training
- Strong communication skills in English
- Energetic and outgoing demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision
- Willingness to multitask under fast-paced conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year previous bartending experience in hospitality or fast-paced environment preferred
- Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Outlook and/or Micros station
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures
- Must be service-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, management and coworkers
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Team player with ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic financial literacy with ability to solve arithmetic problems
- Typing speed of 45 wpm
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
- Capacity to exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls
- Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
- Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures
- Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
- Know and comply with state liquor laws
- Ensure established pars are maintained
- Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules
- Attend to bar and tables, take orders and deliver in a timely manner
- Bus tables and set in a timely manner
- Perform opening and closing side work according to standards
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to standards for mixing, portion control and presentation
- Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Ensure the bar, lounge, lobby and event areas are kept clean and tidy
- Be familiar with the computer POS system
- Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest
- Follow all state liquor laws and assigned training
- Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests and report to management as necessary
- Stock and clean glassware
- Check soda tanks to ensure they are full and secured properly to the bar
- Prepare all garnishes
- Prepare juices and syrups for bar service
- Change kegs and soda bibs
- Assist in cleaning of tables and lounge area as needed
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Deliver food to guests
- Have knowledge of both food and drink menu to offer guests suggestions and upsell
- Maintain quality control of all food and beverage items served
- Follow hotel handbook protocols
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
