Live Nation Clubs and Theaters is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Foundation Room Bartender to join their team. Candidates will have a minimum of two years bartending experience in upscale dining and nightlife establishments and must possess relevant certifications such as Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training. Bartenders at Live Nation are not only service professionals but also brand ambassadors who convey appreciation to VIPs, members, and fans frequenting the Foundation Room. The work environment is fast-paced and lively, requiring strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to handle challenging situations like managing intoxicated guests with a focus on safety and responsibility. Physical stamina is necessary due to extended periods of standing and the need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Job Requirements

  • State or county licensee or certification requirement such as Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training
  • Minimum of 2 years bartending experience in upscale dining and nightlife establishments
  • Ability to upsell and offer food and drink suggestions
  • Articulate vocabulary and ability to socialize with current audience
  • Exemplary and professional grooming standards
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work late hours and nights
  • Cash handling experience
  • Strong working knowledge of all beverages
  • Ability to pass a pour test and mixology drill
  • Ability to deal with intoxicated guests positively and safely
  • Skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge Foundation Room members, Live Nation Executives and VIPs
  • Impeccable knowledge in the steps of delivering service for up-scale dining
  • Stay current and knowledgeable on the latest drink trends
  • Understand the fundamentals of Mixology and uphold Beverage Culture
  • Deep knowledge of how food, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages work in harmony with food selection
  • Suggest wines that complement particular foods
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and House of Blues policies
  • Request proper ID for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
  • Interact with guests in a natural, friendly manner
  • Cultivate regular guests and repeat business
  • Successfully complete a pour test prior to every shift
  • Suggestively sell beverages and menu items
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly
  • Prioritize and organize drink orders
  • Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications
  • Record equipment failures and safety hazards in bar log
  • Recognize and manage intoxicated guests courteously and safely
  • Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform Opening, Running and Closing duties according to HOB policy
  • Prepare guest checks and process payments
  • Maintain bartender bank and perform cash pull/check out procedures
  • Maintain appropriate comp and spill checks
  • Attend pre-shift meetings conducted by Manager on Duty
