We are currently seeking an experienced High Volume Bartender to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational excellence our patrons expect. The bartender position demands a friendly, self-motivated team player who excels in a fast-paced environment and can handle high volumes of orders efficiently. You will be responsible for welcoming guests with enthusiasm, preparing a variety of beverages, including specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, and ensuring that the bar area is well-maintained and compliant with health and safety standards.

Beyond drink preparation, the role involves financial responsibilities such as handling payments, reconciling sales records, and managing the cash bank securely. You will also contribute creatively by collaborating on daily and special drink menus alongside supervisory staff. This position requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and respond promptly to guest needs and queries.

Job Requirements

  • US citizen or US permanent resident card holder
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years bartending experience
  • Over 4 years restaurant business experience
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Must meet legal age requirements
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent problem solving and reasoning abilities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a bartender
  • Over 4 years experience in the restaurant business
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Formal bartending training preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English speaking, listening, reading, and writing

Job Duties

  • Welcome and thank guests enthusiastically and politely with a sense of urgency
  • Communicate with colleagues about guest information, orders, and needs
  • Promote and maintain a safe and positive workplace
  • Take initiative in assisting other team members
  • Collaborate in creating daily and theme drink menus
  • Ensure smooth bar operations in supervisor's absence
  • Change beer barrels and maintain cleanliness of keg dispensers and bar areas
  • Handle payments and reconcile sales records accurately
  • Process all payment methods according to policies
  • Manage cash bank and ensure security
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation
  • Follow opening and closing procedures accurately
  • Acknowledge guests promptly and respond to queries
  • Suggest promotions and upsell to enhance sales
  • Observe guests and anticipate needs
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction
  • Adhere strictly to food, sanitary, and safety standards
  • Follow proper alcohol handling and beverage rotation procedures
  • Instruct staff on new equipment and cleaning methods
  • Report guest issues to supervisor or manager
