Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
  • ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to perform repetitive motions
  • exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials
  • ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • flexible schedule including varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous beverage/bartending experience
  • experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge
  • in-depth knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • basic cash handling skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • knowledge of state alcohol regulations and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the employee handbook
  • anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • present menus, answer questions and make suggestions for all food and beverage items
  • inform guests of all food and beverage specials with prices
  • solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest
  • accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures
  • ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests at the bar and lounge where applicable
  • maintain general cleanliness of bar and bar area and the entire venue
  • organize liquor displays and shelving and maintain par levels
  • possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company
  • create a fun energetic environment
  • serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards
  • protect establishment, guests and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • complete all end-of-shift financial procedures accurately
  • communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House support staff, managers and chefs
  • properly set-up the bar stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
  • properly follow all beverage requisition procedures
  • report all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
  • update knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
  • portray a positive and professional attitude
  • work as part of a team and provide help and support to all employees
