The role of Beverage Server at Prairie Band Casino & Resort is integral to enhancing the guest experience, especially within the golf services area. This position requires delivering efficient, friendly, and professional beverage service to golf guests and beverage cart attendants. The Beverage Server ensures that drink orders are prepared accurately using the proper portions and ingredients according to recipes. Communication with beverage cart attendants is key to seamlessly delivering beverages to guests on the golf course or at the resort. Additionally, the role involves slicing and pitting fruit as needed, maintaining all equipment and utensils in adherence to safety guidelines, and keeping the workstation clean and fully stocked.
The Beverage Server operates the cash register or POS system efficiently, ensuring accurate financial transactions and accountability. Monitoring guest alcohol consumption is a responsibility that requires vigilance and adherence to established guidelines to ensure guest safety. Providing personalized service, using guest names, and maintaining a consistently professional and friendly demeanor are essential to this position. Beyond beverage service, the role also requires flexibility to function as a Beverage Cart Attendant and assists in various events as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English
- Basic mathematic proficiency
- General knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing
- Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Must meet professional appearance standards
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability
- Physical mobility with reasonable accommodation
- Ability to respond to visual and aural cues
- Ability to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items, bend, and stoop while preparing beverages
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
- Capability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Able to work in constricting areas
- Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
- Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
- Must meet level three or medium work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles
Job Qualifications

- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
- 6 months experience in customer service or related field preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe
- Communicates with beverage cart attendants, and presents drinks to golf guests or beverage cart attendants as required
- Slices and pits fruit as required
- Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
- Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
- Operates a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the correct change
- Accounts for all cash, charge and non-alcoholic complimentary sales according to established procedure
- Maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
- Monitors golf guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
- Projects professionalism, and a consistently friendly demeanor
- Provides personalized service and uses golf guest name
- Resolves service problems according to guidelines
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Performs the duties of a beverage cart attendants as needed to include events
- Functions as a Beverage Cart Attendant as needed
- Other duties as assigned
