PENN Entertainment is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as part-time Bartenders. This role involves being an ambassador of fun, delivering courteous service, and ensuring a welcoming and upbeat environment for guests. Bartenders will manage the full range of beverage services, specializing in frozen daiquiris alongside other drink offerings. This includes operational tasks such as stocking and maintaining the bar area, handling cash register transactions, preparing drinks accurately to recipe, and maintaining strict adherence to health and safety standards. PENN Entertainment emphasizes responsible serving practices and requires all bartenders to verify guest ages according to state and company guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course
  • Previous bar experience preferred
  • Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Count money and change correctly
  • Know cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
  • Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
  • Able to work in constricting areas
  • Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
  • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
  • Physically mobile including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs, and perform various physical movements such as reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance in varying work areas

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cocktail ingredients and mixing techniques
  • Ability to count money and make correct change

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to respond to visual and oral cues
  • Physical mobility including ability to push, pull, lift up to 25 lbs and work in confined spaces
  • Tolerant of second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights

Job Duties

  • Complete all the required duties upon the opening and closing of the bar
  • Provide courteous service of frozen daiquiris and beverages, including offering samples and suggestive selling
  • Stock and maintain the bar area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Clean, sanitize and lubricate daiquiri freezers according to schedule and instructions
  • Greet guests in the bar area in a friendly manner, creating an upbeat environment
  • Take drink orders and serve promptly while checking IDs and following responsible serving guidelines
  • Make all drinks accurately according to recipe including daiquiri batch production
  • Slice and pit fruit as required
  • Prepare and deliver guest food orders according to guidelines
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as needed
  • Serve as ambassador of goodwill and participate in customer relations functions
  • Promote casino events and programs
  • Provide personalized service using guest names
  • Resolve service problems according to guidelines
  • Operate and maintain equipment and utensils per safety procedures
  • Operate a cash register/POS system and maintain financial integrity
  • Work cooperatively with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, and supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and stocked workstation and overall cleanliness of guest areas
  • Perform any duties assigned by supervisors or management
