Prairie Band Casino & Resort is a premier entertainment and hospitality destination located in the heart of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. As a leading casino resort, it offers guests a vibrant and exciting gaming experience coupled with exceptional dining, lodging, and entertainment options. The resort is well-known for its commitment to providing a safe, enjoyable, and professional atmosphere for both guests and employees. It prides itself on its rich cultural heritage, community involvement, and dedication to superior customer service. Emphasizing a family-friendly environment, the casino and resort operate with integrity and respect for the community they serve. Alongside gaming services, the resort provides high-quality amenities such as a full-service hotel, a variety of restaurants and bars, and event spaces designed to accommodate a wide range of activities and special occasions.
This job opportunity opens the door to becoming a valued member of the Prairie Band Casino & Resort team, where a strong emphasis is placed on employee satisfaction and career development. The position is crafted to offer not only competitive wages but also numerous benefits including a $750 hiring bonus for new team members and a $50 gas gift card during onboarding, emphasizing the company's dedication to supporting its workforce from the start. The role centers on providing efficient, friendly, and professional beverage service to casino guests and support staff within assigned outlets. This involves preparing and serving drinks according to established recipes and portion sizes, maintaining clean and well-stocked workstations, as well as operating cash registers and POS systems to process transactions accurately. The position also requires maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, ensuring that all financial controls are accurately followed, and handling guest interactions with a professional and warm demeanor.
Prairie Band Casino & Resort offers an attractive benefits package which includes medical insurance where the casino pays over 70% of the premiums, dental insurance with 79% employer coverage, vision insurance, and 100% employer-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance. Life insurance coverage of $15,000 is provided at no cost to all team members. Additionally, the resort offers a 50% employer match up to 6% on 401(k) plans, profit-sharing bonuses paid multiple times a year based on financial performance, double pay on holidays, and perks such as a 25-cent discount per gallon of gas at the casino's gas station. The resort also encourages a healthy work-life balance with a generous paid time off policy, allowing employees to accrue up to 18 days of leave in their first year. The role offered provides significant growth opportunities as employees may perform a variety of tasks such as coffee bar attendant, barback, food server, beverage server, cashier/host, or server assistant duties as needed to support the outlet's operations.
This comprehensive hospitality role is designed for individuals who are 21 years or older, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have basic knowledge of cocktail ingredients and mixing. Candidates must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods and able to perform tasks involving reaching, bending, and handling small items. Strong communication skills in English, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, often noisy environment are essential. This position requires availability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, all while adhering to the highest standards of appearance and customer service as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook.
