Job Description

Eureka! is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant group dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience that makes people feel good and alive. Rooted in the shared values of Energy, Discovery, and Community, Eureka! fosters an enthusiastic environment where guests come to delight in discovering a local blend of America's best offerings. The brand is passionate about service and creating moments of joy, which reflect the expression "Eureka!"—an exclamation of joy in finding, discovering, or solving something special. This mission is carried out by their diverse and passionate team members who strive to deliver an enthusiastic and memorable experience for every guest, while maintaining a cooperative and supportive teammate culture.

As part of Eureka!, the culture is values-driven, emphasizing an environment full of passionate individuals. Guests visiting Eureka! are often returning for the distinctive items they crave or are eager to explore something new and exciting. The company prioritizes attracting and retaining talent that can energize the brand through exemplary service that resonates on a personal level with guests. Employees are encouraged to embody the brand’s values through their conduct and teamwork, ultimately adding to the vibrant and warm atmosphere that defines Eureka!. The organization invests in its people through comprehensive training and development opportunities, empowering every team member to excel in their role, grow professionally, and contribute meaningfully to the collective success.

The available position is for a Bartender, an essential role within Eureka!'s restaurant environment. This non-exempt position reports directly to the General Manager and indirectly to other members of the management team. The bartender serves as a key contributor to the overall guest experience by providing friendly, personable, efficient, and helpful service with a keen awareness of the bar area. The role demands an outgoing personality, passion for the brand, and a positive attitude to engage guests meaningfully from the moment they arrive. Bartenders must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting and have a solid knowledge of craft beer and whiskey, reflecting the brand's commitment to quality and local flavors.

In this role, bartenders greet guests with warmth and personal style, ensuring all interactions meet Eureka!'s time specifications and high standards of friendliness. They attend to guest needs professionally and courteously while memorizing and accurately communicating food and beverage menus. Efficiency in operating the point-of-sale system, managing cash and credit transactions, and adherence to state and federal alcohol service laws are critical responsibilities tied to this position. The bartender also maintains the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including replenishing condiments, preparing garnishes, and managing inventory to uphold quality serving standards.

The role includes physically demanding tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, lifting supplies, and working with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment within a sometimes loud and crowded environment. The position requires compliance with health and safety guidelines and a commitment to maintaining a professional and engaging atmosphere. Eureka! is also committed to workplace safety and requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, supporting the wellbeing of both employees and guests.

Eureka! offers a supportive and inclusive environment where bartenders can thrive and grow within the company. The role is excellent for individuals who are passionate about the culinary and beverage industry and eager to contribute in a lively, values-driven setting. Join Eureka! to be part of a team that is dedicated to making each guest visit a joyful discovery and an uplifting experience at every turn.
