Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in a high volume fast-paced restaurant, bar, or club
  • Extensive knowledge on cocktail building, recipes, and proper techniques of bartending
  • Has never been dismissed from a bartending position from a former employer
  • Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or other items
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must obtain TIP certification within 3 months of employment
  • Must check identification to ensure legal drinking age
  • Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding alcohol service

  • Physical stamina: ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or other items weighing up to [X] pounds
  • Flexibility: willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs

Job Duties

  • Sets up a bar with supplies (fruit, garnishes, cocktail napkins, glassware, etc.) and products prior to opening to ensure a smooth flow of service
  • Ensures the correct display of products to enhance sales and showcase selection
  • Receives and prepares drink orders from guests and servers using standard pours and recipes
  • Rings drink orders into registers, collects money and makes correct change
  • Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating, is a good listener and takes genuine interest in enhancing guest relations
  • Closes down bar, making sure inventory is locked and secure, bar cleaned and sanitized, and supplies put away
  • Assists servers with serving food and beverages when necessary
