This vibrant casino and resort setting offers a dynamic work environment in the hospitality and entertainment industry, creating memorable experiences for its guests while promoting responsible gaming and exceptional service standards. The establishment prides itself on providing a clean, safe, and friendly atmosphere for both employees and guests and is dedicated to maintaining high brand standards that reflect its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
The Bartender role at San Manuel Casino is essential to delivering top-tier beverage service that aligns with the Yaamava Brand Standards. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Beverage, the Bartender is responsible for accurately and efficiently serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at assigned venues, such as bars, outdoor pool decks, or special events throughout the casino and resort. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask during peak service hours while maintaining a welcoming demeanor with guests. Bartenders are tasked with preparing drinks using fresh ingredients, stocking and organizing the bar station, verifying guest ages for alcohol service, handling cash transactions with precision, and ensuring overall cleanliness within their work area.
The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, social environments and are committed to providing exceptional customer service while adhering to legal and company policies related to alcohol service. On any given shift, the Bartender may be responsible for managing a $2,000 bank to handle payments and provide change, ensuring that all transactions are transparent and accurate. Additionally, Bartenders play a vital role in maintaining the inventory of beverage supplies and reporting any operational concerns, including handling situations involving disruptive guests in coordination with management.
Working at San Manuel means being part of a team dedicated to delivering unforgettable guest experiences while fostering a supportive and respectful workplace culture. The casino encourages its employees to develop their skills and grow professionally by participating in various training programs, special events, meetings, and other departmental activities. The physical demands of this role require stamina and strength to work extended shifts in a lively setting, capable of bending, lifting, and standing for long durations. This job also involves interacting with diverse guests and colleagues, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
Candidates interested in the Bartender position should be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have prior experience or training in beverage service. Certification in TIPS and a Food Handler's Card are mandatory, and depending on the role, a gaming license may be required by the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission. The Bartender must also demonstrate competency in cash handling, basic math, and clear communication in English. This employment opportunity promises an engaging and fulfilling career in the hospitality industry, complete with the chance to work in a prestigious casino and resort environment committed to employee well-being and guest satisfaction.
