The Scott Resort & Spa is a prestigious four-diamond luxury resort renowned for delivering an exceptional guest experience through heartfelt hospitality and strict adherence to high service standards. Located in a vibrant setting, this resort combines refined luxury with a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every visitor feels special and valued. The resort champions a culture founded on its Purpose of making space for genuine hospitality and its Pillars of being Hands On & Heartfelt, Sincere & Focused, Collaborative & Curious, and Conscientious. This culture fosters a positive, fun, and engaging work environment where teamwork and dedication to guest satisfaction are paramount. Known for its beautiful environment, impeccable service, and attention to detail, The Scott Resort & Spa attracts guests who expect the highest level of care and professionalism.

The role of Bartender at The Canal Club Bar within The Scott Resort & Spa represents an exciting part-time opportunity that requires availability on Sundays. This position is essential to creating memorable guest experiences by crafting specialty drinks and providing excellent service in the lobby bar. The Bartender is responsible not only for mixing and serving beverages but also for selling food items, contributing significantly to the overall dining experience. This job demands someone who is courteous, enthusiastic, and capable of maintaining high standards in a dynamic, guest-facing environment.

Bartenders at The Canal Club Bar must set up their workstations, including prepping beverage items and brewing coffee, to ensure smooth service throughout their shift. They restock inventories as necessary, maintaining ample supplies while ensuring cleanliness and organization within the bar area. Greeting guests warmly and describing the menu offerings enthusiastically are key aspects of the role, as bartenders play a vital part in engaging customers and enhancing their experience. Through the use of a Point of Sale (POS) system, the Bartender inputs orders accurately and handles cash management responsibly.

The position also requires bartenders to perform end-of-shift procedures such as presenting checks promptly, completing paperwork, and conducting general cleaning tasks that uphold the high standards of the resort. Maintaining inventory and promptly reporting any equipment issues or guest concerns to supervisors ensures operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. The Bartender assists guests by answering questions and fulfilling additional duties as assigned by management.

Ideal candidates for this role possess a high school diploma, hold a Maricopa County Food Handler's Certificate and Arizona Title IV Alcohol Certification, and have prior experience in food and beverage service. Knowledge of the resort’s menu and the ability to learn and prepare all drinks offered is crucial. The role demands physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Beyond technical skills, bartenders must demonstrate ethical behavior, effective communication abilities, and maintain a professional appearance consistent with the resort's four-diamond standards.

This position reflects The Scott Resort & Spa's commitment to superior guest service, where every employee contributes to creating a heartfelt and genuine hospitality experience. By embodying the resort's Purpose and Pillars, bartenders help cultivate a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging guests to return time and again.
