Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required
- Knowledge of bartending and alcohol service regulations including TIPS certification or ability to obtain
- Strong guest service orientation
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required with bartending experience highly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, preparation techniques, appropriate glassware, and bar equipment including knowledge of legal regulations for alcohol service (TIPS certification or ability to obtain is required)
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences
- Basic proficiency with computer systems for order processing and inventory tracking
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Capability to perform duties in an outdoor environment adapting to various weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks according to recipes and guest preferences
- Create and recommend unique cocktails tailored to guest tastes
- Ensure all drinks meet the highest quality and presentation standards
- Greet and engage guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude providing personalized service
- Take drink orders from guests and servers answering inquiries about menu options
- Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Set up the bar at the beginning of each shift ensuring that all equipment, garnishes, and supplies are ready for service
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area including cleaning glassware, surfaces, and waste disposal
- Monitor and report inventory levels for beverages, garnishes, and supplies to avoid shortages
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations including verifying guest identification
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and enforce responsible service practices
- Adhere to all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
- Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service
- Assist with restocking supplies and supporting barback duties during busy periods
- Foster a positive team environment while delivering exceptional service
- Other duties as assigned
