The successful candidate will greet customers warmly, learn about their beverage preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve drinks and food orders efficiently. You will play a vital role in upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction while ensuring correct use of equipment and ingredients. Additionally, the bartender will handle basic cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bar area.

The bartender must be knowledgeable about drink mixing tools and techniques and be capable of handling cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have TABC and Food Handler certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 10 hours
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move tables, chairs, and highchairs regularly to accommodate guests needs
- Ability to carry trays from kitchen window to front counter, dining room or parking lot
- Ability to refill ice bins, refill beverages, clean restrooms, bus tables, and perform other restaurant functions as needed
Job Qualifications
- Additional education, training, or certificates related to bartending
- TABC and Food Handler certification
- Basic math and computer skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques
- Experience in a customer service or food service role preferred
Job Duties
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
- Informing customers about new beverages and specials
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
- Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
