Job Description

The Eisenhower Golf Course, located at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, is a prestigious facility dedicated to providing exceptional recreational services to military personnel, their families, and authorized guests. As a vital part of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program for the Air Force and Space Force, the golf course offers a relaxing and enjoyable environment amidst the stunning natural landscape of the Academy. The facility not only promotes physical wellness and leisure activities but also supports community engagement and social interaction among service members and their families. The Eisenhower Golf Course operates to uphold the highest standards of service excellence and military hospitality, contributing to the quality of life for those connected to the Air Force Academy.

This non-appropriated fund (NAF) position at the Eisenhower Golf Course is primarily focused on operating and managing the beverage cart, offering a unique opportunity to engage directly with patrons in a dynamic and outdoor setting. The role involves selling and serving a limited variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as snacks and sandwiches, ensuring customers receive prompt and courteous service. Responsibilities include setting up the beverage cart for operation, maintaining inventory, and providing accurate cash handling and accountability. The job also requires preparing certain food items such as cold sandwiches and hot dogs, cleaning and maintaining the cart, and occasionally assisting snack bar staff. Although this position does not offer traditional benefits, it plays an important role in the recreational services provided at the Air Force Academy.

Candidates for this role must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty at the golf course and adhere to the requirements of the position, including successful background investigations, physical health standards, and food safety certifications. This is an ideal role for individuals who enjoy customer service, have experience in beverage management, and can operate within a military recreational setting. This position is subject to furlough during the winter months due to reduced business activity caused by weather conditions.
