Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years bartending experience in luxury or high-end bar
- Ability to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 30 days
- Ability to obtain California Food Handler Card within 30 days
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and standing for long periods
- Basic math and English competency
- Physical ability to lift weights up to 40 lbs
- Ability to follow and implement liquor laws and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Two years bartending experience in a high-end or luxury cocktail bar
- Mixology work experience preferred
- Previous FORBES training preferred
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- Basic mathematical skills for cash register operation
- Basic English writing skills
- Strong manual dexterity
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to operate point of sale systems
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand or walk for 8 hours
Job Duties
- Maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure quality
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document drink orders
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- Check guests for proper identification and manage guest inebriation following training
- Input orders in register at point of sale and create checks for all guests served
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions, manage cash vouchers, balance cash bank, lock and secure beverages, food, and equipment items
