Job Description
Conjured from the rich imagination of hospitality visionary Brent Bolthouse, The Bungalow represents the epitome of relaxed California charm with its nostalgic 70's house party theme. This cocktail lounge and bar is the second location of The Bungalow brand in Southern California, renowned for its vibrant yet laid-back ambiance. Open five days a week, The Bungalow features a lively atmosphere with a DJ playing beachy, mellow tunes from the 70's and 80's genres on Thursday through Sunday evenings, and additional DJ sessions on weekend afternoons. Its late hours, closing at 2 AM with the last call at 1:30 AM, cater to a dynamic nightlife crowd looking for specialty cocktails and memorable entertainment. The establishment is well known for combining exceptional drinks with a welcoming and hospitable team environment, making it a favorite destination among locals and visitors alike.
The Bartender position at The Bungalow is a vital role within this spirited environment, tasked with ensuring guests receive an exceptional drinking experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy, creativity, and flair. This role requires meticulous attention to pour counts, flavor profiles, and presentation, backed by regular pour tests to maintain high standards. Bartenders embody the face of hospitality, engaging with guests warmly, anticipating their needs, and contributing to a positive and energetic atmosphere. The Bungalow prides itself on a culture where every guest interaction is handled with excellence in hospitality — bartenders are expected to maintain this through active upselling, participation in sales contests, and impeccable product knowledge.
