Job Requirements
- San Diego County Food Handlers Card (to be submitted within 30 days of employment)
- completed anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour class
- Responsible Alcohol Service (RBS) certification upon training completion
- must be able to sit, stand or walk up to 8 hours
- able to lift at least 50 pounds safely
- able to bend, stoop, climb, push and pull
- motivated, hard-working, passionate, able to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities
- excellent service attitude and enthusiasm for the job and the restaurant

Job Qualifications

- proficiency in computer skills including Open Table and iPad applications
Job Duties
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
- planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials
- selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages
- checking identification to ensure legal drinking age
- taking inventory and ordering supplies
- adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
- handling cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and balancing the cash register
- maintaining cleanliness of bar area, utensils, and equipment
- developing new cocktail recipes
- greeting guests politely and maintaining knowledge of menu items and product sourcing
- maintaining organization of bar menus
- communicating efficiently with management, staff, and guests
- operating the POS system (Toast) correctly
- completing opening, running, and closing side-work duties
