Job Description
Levy is a renowned leader in the food, beverage, and retail industry, with a rich history dating back 40 years to its origins as a delicatessen in Chicago. Today, Levy operates in over 200 entertainment, sports, and restaurant venues throughout the United States, bringing exceptional gastronomic experiences to a wide array of audiences. As part of Compass Group USA, Levy embraces diversity of thought and inclusion as core values driving its success. The company is committed to creating unforgettable moments by combining creativity, strategic planning, impeccable service, and a genuine passion for great food. Offering competitive wages and excellent team perks, Levy encourages individuals to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.
The role of Bartender (Part-Time Seasonal) at Banner Island Ballpark is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a seasonal employment position primarily available from April to September. This position is event-based, providing the chance to work in a lively stadium atmosphere while serving beverages to enthusiastic guests. Working with Levy, bartenders benefit from early wage access through the Instapay service and can leverage high-interest savings via the EVEN app, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee financial wellness. This part-time role pays $17.00 per hour, making it an attractive option for individuals looking for competitive seasonal work with flexibility and numerous benefits.
In this role, bartenders are responsible for delivering excellent guest service by preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. They must adhere strictly to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, particularly regarding the responsible service of alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons. Bartenders play an essential part in the event experience, contributing not only through excellent drink preparation but also by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
The daily duties extend to setting up bars and requisitioning supplies such as beers, wines, spirits, glassware, and other essentials to maintain efficient operations. Bartenders also prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, maintain juice quality, and manage inventory control. Proficiency in beverage mixing and presentation is required, with strict adherence to standard recipes and portion control to maintain consistency and quality.
Guest interaction is a fundamental aspect of the position, requiring bartenders to greet patrons warmly, verify proper identification for alcohol service, and remain vigilant to detect signs of guest inebriation. Responsible cash handling, including processing payments, making change, and maintaining secure cash banks, supports the professionalism and security of the bar environment.
Maintaining cleanliness and health standards is critical, as bartenders are expected to keep their work areas organized and sanitized, wash and sterilize glassware properly, and ensure all equipment and beverage products are safely stored after service. The role requires a flexible approach, ready to perform additional duties as needed to support smooth event operations.
The Bartender position at Levy offers a unique blend of fast-paced hospitality work with the stability and benefits of a reputable company within the sports and entertainment hospitality industry. It appeals to individuals who thrive in team-oriented settings, value guest interaction, and want to be part of creating memorable experiences in a vibrant venue environment. This seasonal, part-time job combines responsibility with opportunity for personal growth and financial rewards, supported by the company’s commitment to employee development, wellness, and inclusive culture.
