Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years bartending experience in hospitality industry such as hotel, restaurant, or nightclub
- Possess San Diego County Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment
- Completed Responsible Alcohol Service training
- Completed anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour class
- Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail and multi-task
- Skilled in time management
- Excellent service attitude willing to exceed guest expectations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure during busy times
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
- Able to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours
- Able to bend, stoop, climb, push and pull safely

Job Duties
- Welcoming guests, reading and listening to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking beverage and food orders
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Working knowledge of current and seasonal beverage and food menus
- Consistent execution of standardized recipes
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations on cocktails, wine, other beverages, and food
- Planning beverage menus and informing guests about new beverages and specials
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses and serving beverages per recipe
- Checking identification to ensure guests are legal age to purchase alcohol
- Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure safe alcohol service
- Collaborate with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and balancing register
- Maintaining clean work and dining areas by removing trash and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
- Developing new cocktail recipes
- Greet guests and attend to them in a polite, friendly manner
- Maintain knowledge of facility, surrounding area, prices and menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of bar menus and organization
- Communicate efficiently with management, service staff and guests
- Have working knowledge of POS system (Toast) to complete transactions efficiently
- Complete opening, running and closing side-work duties
- Uphold standards for cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction
- Adhere to all hotel policies, health regulations and safety standards
- Greet each guest with a good attitude and a smile
