Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 6 months prior bartender or bar apprentice experience
  • At least 1-year previous money handling position
  • Knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes
  • Effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner
  • Neat and professional appearance
  • Ability to interact with customers, the public and co-workers
  • Teamwork with other staff members
  • Ability to accurately count money and provide change
  • Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
  • Ability to work and quickly maneuver inside
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and lift objects up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to respond to visual and oral cues
  • Ability to speak English clearly
  • Position in a cigarette smoke environment
  • Nevada Food Handler’s Certification

Job Duties

  • Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators and other bar appliances
  • Acknowledges, greets and converses with customers who approach the bar
  • Prepares and pours all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon request
  • Processes all cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary changes accurately, while presenting customers with bar receipts
  • Converts cash to coin for any customers playing the slot machines in the bar area
  • Calls a designated slot employee when needed by a guest or bartender
