Job Requirements
- Must have 2 years of experience in full-service bar or equivalent
- Must have accurate mathematic skills
- Must have knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages
- Must have thorough knowledge of types of liquors and wine and their distinctions and use
- Must be familiar with menu and specials
- Must understand wine list and liquor list and recipes for special drinks
- Must have knowledge of liquor liability laws and accounting procedures
- Must meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Must communicate with and understand the average guest
- Must provide a persona compatible with the established image of the restaurant
- Must stand or walk for long periods while on duty
- Must work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must accurately work with and account for large sums of money
- Must open beer, liquor, and wine bottles frequently
- When bar back is not available, must be physically able to move and transport filled glass racks and move cases of beer, wine, or liquor
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a full-service bar or equivalent

- Knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages directly to customers at the bar, lounge area, or dining tables
- Arrange and set up beverages, beverage mixes, and supplies efficiently according to operating procedures
- Complete assigned side work tasks and prepare ingredients for mixed beverage recipes
- Safely use equipment and utensils to prepare beverages including accurate alcohol pour measures
- Count and manage cash drawer and operate all bar service functions independently if necessary
- Take and fill food orders from guests seated at the bar using communication equipment
- Communicate cordially and effectively with co-workers and guests, maintaining friendly and service-oriented interactions
- Accurately record and account for all served items and maintain security of bar stock inventory
- Assist host staff in answering telephones as needed
- Perform varied duties to ensure quality bar service according to standing operating procedure
