Job Requirements

Prior bartending experience
high school diploma or equivalent preferred
ability to work full-time with varying shifts
legal authorization to serve alcohol
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to stand for extended periods
compliance with health and safety regulations
ability to work in fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Prior bartending experience
courteous and friendly customer service skills
knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
ability to mix drinks according to standard recipes with portion control
proficient handling of cash transactions and POS systems
strong organizational and cleanliness standards
ability to detect intoxication and respond appropriately
ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to varying business needs

Job Duties

Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
sets up assigned bars and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables
greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
takes and processes orders for drinks including mixing, garnishing and presenting using standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control
checks guests at the bar for proper identification
detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws
handles cash transactions including making change, verifying charges, recording sales and ensuring vouchers are properly executed
locks up and stores beverage products, food, equipment items and cash deposits securely
performs general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards keeping the work area clean and organized
arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
washes and sterilizes stemware
performs other duties as assigned
