Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in beverage or food service preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly
  • basic proficiency in English
  • valid Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of liquor laws and safety regulations
  • manual dexterity and good communication skills
  • availability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills necessary for cash handling
  • basic English language writing and communication skills
  • sufficient manual dexterity for drink preparation and equipment use
  • ability to comprehend and apply written instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes
  • maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily
  • requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products and condiments
  • maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes and perishables
  • receive cash from guests, verify charges and balance all moneys
  • lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
  • answer bar phone promptly and take orders accurately
  • input orders into register and maintain accountability for beverages served
  • perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • follow safety and security rules
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents
  • maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • assist other beverage personnel as needed
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor
