Job Duties
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem guests and having them removed
- keep the bar area clean in accordance with the company guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
- maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
- greet guests with a smile and by name if known and welcome them to the restaurant
- mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined to keep drink costs at a minimum and consistent
- develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar always satisfied
- prepare and assemble food items from the menu, including appetizers, snacks, and light meals
- educate customers on food items, how they are prepared and served
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling standards
- provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
- check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
- keep a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, food condiments and other accessories
- organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
- slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks, date per requirements of health codes
- assist in ensuring patrons always have a safe ride home, calling a taxi or Uber when appropriate
- special projects as assigned by manager
