Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of bartending or related experience
  • knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine
  • legal age to serve alcohol in the state of employment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • compliance with state and local certifications for food handling and alcohol service

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience in the foodservice or hospitality industry as a bartender preferred
  • good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
  • experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred
  • must be minimum age to serve alcohol
  • superior professional appearance and manner
  • good character to work in a fast-paced team
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications such as food handler or alcohol training certificates

Job Duties

  • Assist guests in beverage and drink preparation
  • service the bar area and restaurant efficiently and timely
  • relate with guests about beverage needs and satisfaction ensuring high-quality service
  • maintain thorough knowledge of drink offerings to assist guests
  • comply with Bishop's Lodge and Forbes standards
  • contribute to improving F&B sales revenues through product knowledge
  • accurately take and place orders using the Micros system
  • prepare guest checks and collect payment
  • operate, maintain, and clean bar equipment
  • ensure the bar is well-stocked
  • use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe work environment
