Job Qualifications

Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the guests
Have working knowledge of drinks, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes
Possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cash register
Be able to work standing for long periods up to 8 hours
Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 60 pounds

Job Duties

Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile within 30 seconds and serve drinks within 2 minutes
Create energy and participate in dynamics appropriate to the part of day
Ensure food menus are clean, available at the bar, and suggestively sell food
Ensure food arrives at the bar within 10-12 minutes and notify manager of any delays
Take beverage orders from guests and cocktail hostesses
Prepare drinks according to standard recipes using correct jiggers and measures
Maintain clean and dry bar tops and wipe ashtrays when necessary
Observe guests for signs of impairment and verify age before serving liquor
Follow all sales, cash handling, and credit card procedures consistently
