Job Requirements

Be of legal age to serve alcohol
possess state applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
basic mathematical skills and ability to handle money
possess basic reading and computer skills
have basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and familiarity with standard drink recipes
excellent communication and organizational skills
be multi-task oriented
possess knowledge of company’s food and beverage specifications and workplace safety procedures
have reasonable availability keeping in mind most business occurs on nights and weekends

Job Duties

Welcome each guest personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language
make guests feel appreciated
work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and efficient food and beverage service
keep all areas clean and stocked to company standards
mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes
input orders into computer immediately
collect money, make correct change and provide receipts
clean and arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
wash and sterilize stemware
anticipate guests' needs and follow the half-full rule
remain alert to guests' signals and acknowledge them
check identification of guests consuming alcoholic beverages
refuse alcohol service to underage guests
responsibly serve alcohol and monitor guests' intoxication
perform other assigned duties
