Job Qualifications

- Prior bar service experience
- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
- Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
- Bi-lingual experience a plus

Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's standards
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- Greets guests, answers questions, and makes recommendations regarding food, drinks, and promotions
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work tasks
- Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drink presentation
- Presents guest checks to bar patrons, makes correct change, and completes credit transactions
- Processes employee and manager food orders accurately
- Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely manner
- Manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws, company and brand policies
- Participates in clearing and resetting the bar for service
- May serve guests in a Carside To-Go capacity occasionally
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques and develops customer and community relationships
- Participates in local store marketing to drive bar traffic and overall sales
- Removes trash and garbage from the bar service area to dumpster
