Job Requirements

  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Physically able to lift objects weighing 5 to over 40 pounds
  • Meet minimum age requirement for working with alcoholic beverages
  • Able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
  • Obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or meet residency requirements
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Direct deposit required
  • Satisfactorily complete an E-Verify check
  • Pre-employment requirements must be met before Entrance on Duty
  • May be required to complete a probationary period

Job Qualifications

  • Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages including exotic drinks
  • Ability to recognize and manage intoxicated or unruly patrons
  • Experience following cash handling procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and deal with the public
  • Physical ability to lift 5 to over 40 pounds
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
  • Open to all applicants including military spouses, veterans, and eligible preference categories

Job Duties

  • Operate a full service bar
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following established recipes
  • Deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons
  • Receive payments or charge to member's account
  • Wash glasses and bar equipment
  • Prepare garnishes for mixed drinks
  • Help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions
  • Ensure proper operation of bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
  • Accept money, operate cash register, and make change
  • Prepare documentation for cash funds accountability
  • Perform other duties as assigned
