Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in full service bar or equivalent
- Accurate mathematic skills
- Knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages
- Thorough knowledge of types of liquors and wine and their distinctions and use
- Must know menu and specials
- Must know wine list
- Must know liquor list and recipes for special drinks
- Must understand liquor liability laws
- Must know accounting procedures
- Must be punctual and meet personal schedule requirements
- Must be courteous, pleasant and good natured
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Must provide a persona compatible with established image of restaurant
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods while on duty
- Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to accurately handle and account for large sums of money
- Frequent opening of beer, liquor and wine bottles
- When bar back is not available, must be physically capable to move and transport filled glass rack and cases of beer, wine or liquor

Job Duties
- Arrange and set up beverages, beverage mixes and supplies in an efficient and professional manner according to standing operating procedure
- Complete all side work when and as assigned
- Prepare ingredients needed for recipes of mixed beverages
- Safely use equipment and utensils as prescribed in preparation of beverages
- Prepare beverages according to prescribed recipes including alcohol content
- Use proper method according to standing operating procedure to ensure exact alcohol pour measures
- Count and be responsible for cash drawer
- Operate all functions of bar service alone and without assistance if necessary
- Take and fill food orders from guests seated at the bar utilizing available communication equipment including computer register system
- Communicate cordially, clearly and effectively with co-workers
- Communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Accurately record and account for all items served to guests and other employees
- Account for and maintain security of bar stock inventory
- Relate to guests pleasantly and with good humor
- Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of bar service according to standing operating procedure
- Assist host staff with answering telephones
