Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • able to work in environments with hot and cold temperatures such as freezers and around cooking equipment
  • able to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • able to read and write handwritten notes
  • able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • able to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • able to walk or stand 100% of shift
  • able to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
  • dressed in proper dress code, neat, clean and professional at all times

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read and communicate in English
  • restaurant and/or bar experience preferred but not required
  • skilled in effectively communicating with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
  • able to work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • knowledge of company sanitation procedures
  • ability to operate Micros point-of-sale system
  • capable of handling cash transactions accurately
  • must be friendly and possess a positive attitude
  • able to follow detailed instructions and company policies
  • able to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
  • adhere to company sanitation procedures
  • maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
  • follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
  • assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
  • follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product and maximize guest satisfaction
  • keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
  • greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
  • maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items
  • enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
  • be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work at beginning and end of shift
  • demonstrate ability to operate Micros and account for all monies at the end of each shift
  • ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated bar areas and other sections
  • work quickly and efficiently adhering to full hands in, full hands out philosophy
  • participate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand
  • complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets as required
  • complete opening and closing duties in a timely manner
  • assist in party set up and breakdown
  • assist other team members as needed
  • buss and reset tables as needed
  • ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, prebussing as necessary, and responding to guest needs
  • maintain a favorable working relationship with all company team members to foster cooperation and high morale
  • listen to guest orders and communicate with guests and team members verbally and via Micros system
  • be friendly and able to smile frequently
