Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in a full-service bar or equivalent
- Accurate mathematical skills
- Knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages
- Thorough knowledge of types of liquors, wines and their distinctions and uses
- Familiarity with menu, specials, wine list, liquor list and special drink recipes
- Understanding of liquor liability laws
- Knowledge of accounting procedures
- Punctuality with personal schedule
- Courteous, pleasant and good natured personality
- Ability to communicate and understand average guests
- Compatibility with restaurant's established image
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work accurately with large sums of money
- Willingness and ability to open beer, liquor and wine bottles frequently
- Physical ability to move and transport filled glass racks and cases of beverages when bar-back is unavailable

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages directly to customers at the bar, lounge area, and dining tables
- Arrange and set up beverages, beverage mixes and supplies efficiently and professionally
- Complete all assigned side work
- Prepare ingredients needed for mixed beverage recipes
- Use equipment and utensils safely as prescribed
- Ensure precise beverage preparation according to recipes including alcohol content
- Count and manage cash drawer accurately
- Operate bar functions independently when necessary
- Take and fill food orders from bar guests using communication equipment
- Communicate cordially and effectively with coworkers
- Engage guests in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Record and account for all items served accurately
- Maintain security and account for bar stock inventory
- Perform duties to ensure service standards according to procedures
- Assist host staff with telephone duties
