Job Requirements

must be at least 21 years of age
must have 1-2 years bartending experience preferred
must have previous experience with Japanese cuisine preferred
basic understanding of wine, spirits and sake preferred
must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency
high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

Promptly greets guests and takes beverage orders from servers or guests
promptly prepares beverage orders according to server tickets
mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, and other beverages as requested and per company standards
checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
rings up all drink and food orders in the POS system and collects payment
balances receipts and follows proper cash handling procedures
ensures the bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing and serving
offers and serves food items to guests at the bar when appropriate
demonstrates thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
responsible for routine cleaning, set up and breakdown of the bar
washes and sterilizes glassware and keeps an attractive bar display
completes daily and weekly cleaning and side work requirements
participates in scheduled catering events
performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor
