Job Requirements

  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • must have 1-2 years bartending experience preferred
  • must have previous experience with Japanese cuisine preferred
  • basic understanding of wine, spirits and sake preferred
  • must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly greets guests and takes beverage orders from servers or guests
  • promptly prepares beverage orders according to server tickets
  • mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, and other beverages as requested and per company standards
  • checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
  • rings up all drink and food orders in the POS system and collects payment
  • balances receipts and follows proper cash handling procedures
  • ensures the bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing and serving
  • offers and serves food items to guests at the bar when appropriate
  • demonstrates thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
  • responsible for routine cleaning, set up and breakdown of the bar
  • washes and sterilizes glassware and keeps an attractive bar display
  • completes daily and weekly cleaning and side work requirements
  • participates in scheduled catering events
  • performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor
