Job Requirements

21+ years old
High school degree or GED preferred
Prior bar service experience
ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
Reliable transportation required
Friendly and engaging demeanor
Ability to build relationships
Ability to be a team player
Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to brand standards
Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
Completes assigned opening and closing side work
Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
Presents guest checks and makes correct change or handles credit transactions
Processes employee and manager food orders
Relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale computerized system
Manages alcohol service according to all state and federal laws and company policies
Participates in clearing and resetting the bar
Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go service
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Explains and demonstrates usage of tabletop electronic devices to guests
Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
Participates in local store marketing to drive bar traffic and overall restaurant sales
Removes trash and garbage from bar service area to dumpster
