Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Recent experience as a high volume bartender in recognized establishment or successful completion of 1 year in TOGE Bar Back position
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
  • Must pass background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Knowledge of Arizona liquor laws and TOGE alcohol controls
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Ability to work evening, graveyard, holiday, and weekend shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a high noise and second-hand smoke environment
  • Ability to maintain proper attendance in accordance with casino policy

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Recent experience as a high volume bartender in recognized establishment or successful completion of 1 year in TOGE Bar Back position
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong knowledge of bartending in a high volume bar/night club environment
  • Knowledge of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) regarding alcohol service
  • Knowledge of bar items, liquors, and pricing
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Knowledge of cash handling
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
  • Ability to obtain TIPS certification
  • Ability to service guests in a professional appearance and manner
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in Basic English
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment
  • Skill in interpersonal and guest service

Job Duties

  • Mixes and serves alcoholic drinks to lounge/bar guests
  • Collects money for drinks served and makes change for guests
  • Adheres to all Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and TOGE internal controls
  • Cleans and sterilizes glasses and bar equipment on a continual basis
  • Replaces empty beer kegs and replenishes wine units accordingly when bar backs are not available
  • Ensures compliance with tribal, city, state and federal health/food safety codes
  • Maintains a clean, organized and sanitized work area while following all health/food safety regulations
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment of the lounge/bar area
  • Checks and audits till receipts for the shift and dispenses receipts to proper authorities
  • Trains new team members and bar backs
  • Coordinates and maintains entertainment with Food & Beverage Supervisor
  • Monitors guests to ensure they are not intoxicated and follows proper procedures if intoxication observed
  • Operates the Point of Sale (POS) cash register
  • Provides excellent guest service by continually checking on guests and following up on requests in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Maintains proper attendance in accordance with casino policy
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
