Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
  • Must ensure a good guest experience
  • Must be able to work weekend shifts
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 5 hours
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 35 pounds frequently

Job Qualifications

  • High school education required
  • Hospitality or related degrees are a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the restaurant or customer service industry preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of cocktail recipes, beer, wine, and beverage preparation
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine to guests
  • Present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer guest questions regarding food and beverages
  • Take orders and promptly serve food and drink
  • Check in with guests about their experience and up-sell whenever possible
  • Record drink or food orders accurately and process payments
  • Fill in as a server as needed to support restaurant operations
  • Maintain inventory and replenish bar supplies
  • Ensure cleanliness of the bar area including counters, tables, equipment, and floors
  • Wash and sterilize glassware and maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
