Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in hotel or related field preferred
Ability to stand during entire shift
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Attend all required meetings and trainings
Maintain regular attendance according to scheduling needs
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Comply with hotel safety standards and regulations
Ability to handle problems proactively
Ability to understand and apply complex information
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Flexibility to work long and varied hours

Job Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in hotel or related field preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
Friendly, courteous, and service-oriented attitude
Ability to listen, understand, and clarify guest and employee concerns
Knowledge of state liquor laws
Ability to work flexible hours
Strong problem-solving and initiative-taking skills

Ability to cross-train in other hotel related areas

Job Duties

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees
Set up the bar according to hotel standards and serve guests promptly and efficiently
Prepare beverages and cocktails according to hotel mixing and presentation standards
Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
Break down bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment according to hotel standards
Follow all state liquor laws
Know hotel services and facilities
Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules
Serve liquor with care to manage intoxicated guests
Respond to guests’ problems, complaints, and accidents
Keep bar and service areas clean and tidy
Ensure overall guest satisfaction
Attend hotel required meetings and trainings
Perform other duties as requested by management
