Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- have OLCC Serving Permit within 30 days of employment
- have Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of employment
- be able to communicate effectively with guests
- have working knowledge of craft beers, microbrews, wine, and liquor
- possess basic math skills
- be able to stand for long periods
- be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- willing to follow alcohol service guidelines
- able to maintain cleanliness and organization
- willing to assist in bar inventory control
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- be able to communicate with and understand guests
- have working knowledge of craft beers/microbrews, wine, liquor and common drink recipes
- possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
- be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- must have OLCC Serving and Food Handlers Permits within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Greet all guests upon arrival
- take beverage orders from guests
- prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes
- have or develop a knowledge of craft beer/microbrews and be able to recommend and explain to our guests
- become fluent in the understanding of the restaurant's table and seating numbers
- carry service trays and deliver food to tables
- pre-bus finished plates
- accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if needed
- wash and sanitize glassware
- maintain liquor bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
- maintain food menus, beer/drink menus, and draft boards, to ensure they are up to date and clean
- clear and reset bar top and tables in restaurant
- maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- possess adequate responsible alcohol service knowledge
- read and understand the company provided alcohol service guidelines
- report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
- assist in restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
- assist in control of TV/sporting events at the bar guests requests
- thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
