Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in bartending or beverage service preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • strong communication skills in English
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
  • current Food Handler Card
  • adherence to safety and security protocols

Job Qualifications

  • current Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • basic mathematical skills for cash handling
  • basic English writing and communication skills
  • manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
  • knowledge of product labeling and safety procedures
  • ability to promote menu items
  • ability to comprehend and follow instructions

Job Duties

  • Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
  • prepare beverages for servers
  • act as cashier for the lounge
  • greet guests and promote drink orders
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • maintain bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • manage stock, cutting and storing fresh garnishes and perishables
  • handle cash transactions, verify charges, and balance money
  • lock up and secure beverages, food, and equipment
  • answer bar phone and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and maintain check accountability
  • perform general cleaning tasks
  • adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
  • maintain personal neatness and grooming
  • assist other beverage personnel as needed
  • perform related duties as assigned
