Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Prior bartending or relevant hospitality experience preferred
  • Must obtain or possess valid RBS/Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Food Handler Safety Training Card required
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Possession of RBS/Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • Strong knowledge of tequila and mezcal
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests within La Popular's time specifications and with a genuinely friendly disposition
  • Attend to the needs of all guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Memorize food, drink and rotating menus on a daily basis
  • Write food and drink orders according to request using appropriate abbreviations and ticket procedures
  • Efficiently operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Collect money and handle all cash and credit card transactions according to company policies
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to time and quality standards
  • Observe state and federal laws regarding the service of alcohol
  • Cut various fruits to garnish drinks
  • Polish and roll silverware
  • Transport plates, bowls, and glasses between stations
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and service bar floor
  • Replace beer kegs and CO2
  • Replenish condiments such as straws, napkins, and ice
  • Perform opening and closing duties including cleaning and food prep
  • Assemble and dismantle work station
  • Maintain beverage inventory and restock as necessary
