Job Requirements
- Complete a background investigation with favorable results
- Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds
- Must be able to pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds
- Must occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds
- Ability to communicate clearly and skill in dealing with the public
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
- Must meet appropriate minimum age requirements for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages
- Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
- Must be U.S. citizen or non-U.S. national meeting residency requirements
- Must register for Selective Service if male born after December 31, 1959
- Must comply with direct deposit requirements
- Must satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify) check
- May require a probationary period
- Pre-employment requirements must be met prior to Entrance on Duty
- Payment of permanent change of station costs not authorized
- Must meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
Job Qualifications
- Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
- Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit
- Ability to mix exotic drinks
- Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve issues
- Ability to follow cash handling procedures
- Physical ability to frequently lift 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift over 40 pounds
- Clear communication skills
- Skill in dealing with the public
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
- Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must obtain Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
Job Duties
- Operate a full service bar
- Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to order following established recipes
- Deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons
- Receive payments or charge to member’s account as appropriate
- Wash glasses and other bar equipment
- Prepare garnishes for mixed drinks
- Help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions
- Manage proper operation of bar receipts and inventory accountability
- Accept money, operate cash register, and make change
- Prepare documentation for cash funds accountability
- Recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems or seek assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
